ONTARIO, CA (April 28, 2021) — Humanidei + O’Rourke, a human capital strategies firm serving the credit union industry, is proud to announce that Carl Clark will join the company as Senior Consultant: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
“Carl Clark brings a strong understanding of how to make meaningful connections. His experience building training and programs that connect communities and businesses to resources will help our clients better serve their members and employees,” said Jill Nowacki, President/CEO, Humanidei + O’Rourke. “Beyond that, Carl’s passion for the credit union system and his belief in what credit unions can accomplish perfectly positions him to do this work in developing an inclusive and innovative system. I am thrilled our clients will have the opportunity to benefit from Carl’s expertise.
Clark joins Humanidei + O’Rourke after almost 13 years with Local Government Federal Credit Union (North Carolina): A credit union known for its leader’s commitment to adding Diversity and Inclusion as credit unions’ 8th Cooperative Principle. Clark served as Business/Membership Development Officer, connecting businesses, members, and potential members of the credit union with products, services, and education that were in their best interest and would improve their lives. He holds an MBA from Pfeiffer University and a B.A. in Criminal Justice.
“I am really looking forward to this opportunity with Humanidei & O’Rourke. I truly believe that the credit union industry is primed for an explosion,” said Clark. “Being a part of an organization like this that’s pushing to ensure an environment of inclusivity and diversity is a great way to grow the movement.”
In his new role, Clark will work with clients to design and implement strategies that create inclusive workplaces. This includes recruiting diverse candidate pools as well as creating large-scale DEI strategies that lead to organization-wide change management, evaluating and coaching on areas like career path and performance management programs that lead to internal equity; building DEI Advisory Groups or Employee Resource Groups that support inclusion; evaluating products, programs, and systems that create equity; and conducting training and research to improve employee experience.
