Endurance Federal Credit Union adds two underserved rural districts with help from CUCollaborate

Endurance FCU was recently approved to serve two rural districts that include Elk City and Duncan Oklahoma

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 3, 2020) — The NCUA recently approved the additions of two underserved areas to Endurance Federal Credit Union’s field of membership. The two underserved areas allow Endurance to offer their services to anyone who lives, works, worships, studies, and businesses in parts of fifty-three different counties in Texas and Oklahoma. The districts increase Endurance FCU’s potential field of membership by 497,955 potential members, an increase of over 10 times current potential membership.

In Oklahoma, the underserved areas include all of Beckham, Jefferson, Kiowa, Jackson, Harmon, Cotton, Roger Mills, Stephens, and Tillman and parts of Caddo, Blaine, Comanche, Grady, Custer, and Washita Counties. In Texas, the underserves areas include all of Armstrong, Baylor, Borden, Collingsworth, Cochran, Crosby, Cottle, Briscoe, Fisher, Childress, Hall, Floyd, Dawson, Dickens, Foard, Hardeman, Garza, Kent, Lamb, Lynn, Knox, Throckmorton, King, Motley, Wilbarger, Stonewall, and Swisher and parts of Hockley, Castro, Haskell, Jones, Hale, Lubbock, Potter, Yoakum, Parmer, Terry, and Scurry Counties.

Endurance Federal Credit Union enlisted the help of CUCollaborate to add underserved areas to their existing field of membership. CUCollaborate provides field of membership consulting services to help credit unions expand their field of membership with their regulator.

“CUCollaborate supported us every step of the way. Their consulting team managed the project from start to finish and helped us receive two approvals from the NCUA without any deferrals. The process could not have been easier and CUCollaborate was the right choice for this project.” said Chris Bower, President and CEO of Endurance FCU.

“We are excited for Endurance’s recent field of membership application approvals. We currently support over 40 credit unions on their field of membership expansion and every approval grows the credit union mission in supporting their local community. We look forward to working with Endurance on any future expansions as well as serving their new market.” said Sam Brownell, Founder and CEO of CU Collaborate.
